If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died

i'm sending you away tonight, put you on a bird's strong wing
and i forget, how fragile are the very strong
Hello, my name is Stella. Hmm... About me... My life was not how you would say, normal. I was born in dark territory and raised to be a warrior for my herd. My parents were not the best, but I didn't blame them. They had to be harsh to me and my siblings, it was a way of life. They told me sometimes that they needed to be strong in order to fend of the Goddess, we were taught to fear her, but not to respect her. I spent long days with my teacher, a cruel and spiteful stallion, practicing my elements, earth and fire. He taught me that I had a strong connection with the earth, that is why I never grew wings, instead I grew sharp horn. I watched as my siblings and fellow warriors fell, but I was one of the strong. I fought rough, never actually contemplating what I was fighting for. I did what I was told, end of story. Then one day, a mare came to our herd. She told our leader that she had changed her mind about the Goddess and had decided to no longer serve her. This mare was very persuasive, and very charming. Our leader agreed rather foolishly, as he did not have the cunning to see through her charm. I was suspicious of her, but I didn't share my suspicion in fear of upsetting the leader. Upsetting the leader often meant punishment of torture or sometimes even death. So I followed the female, whose name I learned was Xavia, as she walked through the forest. By this time in my life, I was 2, I was able to stalk pretty well. I followed her for a long time, I thought she was changing her mind and leaving our lands; but then she came to a clearing. Other horses were gathered in the clearing. It was a meadow, but much more beautiful than anything I had ever seen. I watched her greet the others with nuzzling, they smiled and seemed quite happy. Xavia shook the black pearl off her neck that symbolized her loyalty to our herd. This shocked me, as I was told that taking off my necklace was punishable by death. Surely this mare knew the severity of what she was doing? Another mare placed the crystal stone upon her neck, the stone that the incarnates wore. I narrowed my eyes, knowing then that my suspicions of Xavia were correct. As I was about to run back to tell the leader, something stopped me. I can't remember exactly, but I do recall seeing the lights. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. The mares seemed to be one as they lifted their heads into the sky, creating lights of all colors above them. I felt unworthy of standing in front of such a glorious presence. I watched as they talked to their Goddess, giving her offerings of their servitude. I stood there even after they were finished, until the mare came to return. She didn't seem surprised by me standing there in awe. She just smiled understandingly, especially when I expressed my wanting to join her. We went back to the herd and planned our escape. I learned that she had joined my herd as a spy for an incarnates herd, but she said she would abort her mission to take me back to her herd. This confused me, no one had ever really done anything kind for me. I had been a warrior, nothing more than a disposable pawn. I had been accepted, but not loved. We escaped our herd in the dead of night, when I was supposed to be on guard duty. I told my herd's secrets to my new friend. I was accepted into her herd with open arms and became an incarnate. I got a crystal necklace, began joining their magic rituals, and no longer was treated with cruelty. Though has been a learning process. I have had a tough time adjusting, turning from a ruthless killer to a kindhearted servant to the Goddess is no overnight task. It has taken 3 years of work to turn me into the mare you see before you, a respectable ranking 5 year old.
