i'm sending you away tonight, put you on a bird's strong wing
and i forget, how fragile are the very strong
male. 45( looks to be in his prime). Immortal. Dracoquine.
earth. lesser tremor.
If ever there were a stubborn horse, this would be him. If he thinks he's right, he will argue his point until the other either gives in or sees the error in their arguement and drop the subject. Auberon is always right, in his opinion. Think of him as a grizzly, grumpy old man in a younger body, he has the stubborn mindset of someone who wants things only to change his way- which is generally not all. Going along with the old man outlook, he can be rather grumpy most of the time, he grows tired of yearling games although he does enjoy a good joke like everyone else just not a constant stream. He's fine with one every now and then, and is even known to participate in a prank or two on rare occasions. He's a fairly talkative stallion, he speaks fine and good, just only when he deems it important -lets be honest, old men loving speaking their mind about most things. He has an argumentative point on nearly everything and of course he's right. To no surprise he has quite the temper when he wants, often over petty stuff although not always. When his temper is rattled its not a good idea to be within striking range for he is a rather unpredictable gent and stout enough to cause damage to nearly any horse. He is violent and hostile when rattled, lashing out at whoever angers him.
Auberon has a rather bleak and cold outlook on the world, its doomed he thinks, and as such he tends to help nudge it along, after all, he'll live until its end and he doesn't want to be there any more anyway. He holds no particular sadness for the dieing and will gladly 'ease their suffering' by helping them die. Although this is purely based on what he sees and thinks- never what the horse wishes. Auberon isn't one to gather in a group, he prefers solitude with the stumbling upon of someone new, at least then the conversation is always fresh. He does not like repeating himself- but what old man does? The draft stallion doesn't care for love or any affections of the heart, theres no point when he has to watch them grow old and die. Even for him, that is a cruel injustice he wants no part of.
Physically, Auberon has not changed since he was a stallion in his prime - which for his breed was a young age of about 15. He has the appearance of a draft horse, like many of his species, he has thick limbs and a torso filled with muscle. He towers over just about any horse at 19HH, he is not one to be trifled with because of this. Surprisingly, his height is not all that sets him apart, being a dracoquine his body his covered in fur and scales. His head particularly is more scale than fur, but his legs are mostly scales as well as his belly. His eyes are reptillian in nature, being split like a cats but they hold an eerie amber/green. Auberon is not graced with a pretty mane, instead theres a webbed row of spikes that slither down his neck and across his spine. He also has a pair of wings, deep and dark brown on top, while the underside are a lighter chocolate brown. The wingspan and size are hulking, they have to be to carry his weight, although flying is not one of his strong suits- he prefers to keep his hooves on the ground- but he does see the perks of being able to fly. Most frightening are the fangs that protrude from his upper lips, he doesn't like them, they get in the way but they do a fairly decent job of getting others away from him. Despite all of the 'hideous' characteristics he is cursed with, the gods that created and cursed him did grace him with one beautiful attribute and that is that his body and wings are metallicly colored, gleaming in any amount of light. A feature he brandishes proudly by keeping himself immaculently kept.
AS a younger horse, he was rather rebellious, refusing to believe in something that couldn't be proven. He began to go against those believers and turned towards a darker power, one that ultimately cossed him his life and his return to the land. After believing the stories of a dark god, he was killed and instead of just dying he was cursed with immortality- to walk the lands without aging, without completing the cycle. At first the hot headed stallion didnt care, he was eager to take advantage of his extra time, but after falling for a lady and unable to reproduce...that was hard on him, he felt ashamed for awhile but the two stayed together, until old age took her from him. Afterwards Auberon grew a bitter outlook on his predicament and a deep hate and jealousy for the living- the ones that could die when and how they wanted.
