I beat down my other and was free... for now. Phoenix would rise from her ashes again but she wouldn't for a while. The phoenix didn't rebirth instintaniously. I walked along through the eastern lands looking at the rolling hills around me. They were peaceful and seemed to shine with the godesses light. I closed my eyes and felt it wash over me in a gentle wave. I couldn't keep in the tranquil bliss for long. The voice of her ghost started to whisper to me This land is unclaimed. You should take it as yours and become the queen. Imagine the good you could do. I shook my head and told my twin forcefully No. I will not take control of this blessed place only for you to take over and destroy it once you rebirth sweet sister. Her dark soul sharer wasn't really dead. It was their term for when she had been beaten to heavily to pose a threat to me as I lived.
I walked along while she whispered the possibilities in my mental ear. I tried to ignore her voice by focusing on the landscape. I crossed over a rise and came upon a small group of trees and a small lake that lay nestled in the center of the small wood. I cantered down the hill, that looked a lot larger than it had seemed while I had been climbing it, and walked amongst the trees. The branches were bare but the ash and rowan leaves lay scattered on the ground. This was a nice place. I decide to name it since there was no sign that any equine had ever been here. Tranquility Lake. This place is Tranquility lake. I heard the rude voice of my other Very nice my soul twin. Why not blood valley or death row? Something nice and strong. I sighed and a thought came to me. If I named this place did that make me its queen protecter? I searched to see if the thought had been planted by her. No, it was my own. I, Katsa, name myself the lady protector of this lake. I said. I looked around for anyone that might hear my simple but powerful words. Good work sweet twin. Now just rule until I regain myself and become the Phoenix again. I snarl at her and clamp down on the imagined link to our body. That monster would not harm this place.
And so the real fight for myself began...
